Due to my background in Progressive Rock, and Progressive Metal this class was perfect for me. Mixing is what makes a sound experience, and for genres that have a lot of complexity, mixing is a really big deal. During this class I really got to dial in my ear. I learned a few 0f the biggest lessons I ever have in music and life during this class.

Since this was a mixing class, all assignments were mix related. Mixing to me is pretty challenging because it is so easy to get tied up on things. I tend to find myself over perfecting and over listening specific parts. Because of this, I have up-taken the strategy of putting it down and coming back, many different times. Due to this I think my final Get Up mix came out pretty good.

For this mixing assignment we had to reference a professionally mixed version of the song.
